Reverend Earl A. Cary

Associate Pastor of Families and Visitation
 


Earl A. Cary, Jr. was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 14, 1953 and is the son of Earl A. Cary, Sr. (deceased) and Helen R. Cary.  He has 5 brothers and sisters. 

Earl graduated from Roman Catholic High School in Philadelphia in 1971 and obtained a B.A. degree in Accounting from Lycoming College in Williamsport, PA in 1975. 

Earl has been employed by PPL Corp since October 6, 1975 until November 1, 2009, as an accountant and financial system analyst by PPL Corporation.

Earl likes to travel, walk, ski, bicycle and roller skate.He is a lifetime member if the Allentown Branch of the NAACP. He also is National Biblical Counselors Association member.

Earl is a member of Union Baptist Church in Allentown, PA where Pastor Benjamin T. Hailey, Sr. is his pastor. Earl has been a member of Union Baptist since May 1987 which is when he received Jesus Christ as his Savior.  He has served in many capacities at Union including Chairman of the Evangelistic Deacon Board and President of the Mass Choir.  Earl currently serves as an Associate Pastor of Family and Visitation and the Director of Biblical Counseling at Union Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Hailey.

Earl has serving as an interim Pastor at New Beginning Baptist Church in Allentown, PA since April 2009.

Earl ministers at Liberty Nursing Home, Manor Care Nursing Home, Lehigh County Prison and the Allentown Rescue Mission. He has been on multiple mission trips to help rebuild homes damaged in Mississippi and Texas by Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Gustaf.  He has ministered to church congregations in the Amazon Jungle region in Peru

Earl has a passion for serving and helping people who are in need, oppressed and sick or shut in. 

Earl seeks to be an ambassador of Jesus Christ by his life as per 2nd Corinthians 5:20. He wants to be categorized as a humble, submissive servant of the Lord.
